He was in town for a private fundraiser, rich man staying in a cheap hotel. In person, he looked weak and soft, and had NO charisma. He was a willard (that's country club Mitt's REAL name! He was so cute, someone was bound to recognize him. By the way, the dye pack is no thicker than the dollar bill it's attached to. For banks that have them, they are in the drawer attached to a piece of paper money. When the teller puts the money in the bag, it separates from the bill it's attached to and is activated. When the robber puts his hand in the bag the activated dye pack explodes rendering the money unusable and worthless and permanently staining the robber. Not all banks have them. It's controversial because of the chance that the disgruntled robber with the worthless money could come back and shoot the teller.
