Biography
I started at the Naples Daily News as a sports reporter in December 1997. I covered high schools, the Everblades' first season, the Miami Dolphins, the start of Florida Gulf Coast University athletics, and professional golf tournaments in both Naples and elsewhere in the state. I was promoted to assistant sports editor in October 1999, and remained mainly a writer, covering high schools, FGCU, the Dolphins and professional golf tournaments. I was promoted to sports editor in August 2004, and still cover local golf. During my time at the Daily News, I've been fortunate enough to cover three Super Bowls (in Houston, New Orleans and Atlanta) and three Masters. Before coming to Naples, I worked at The Southern Illinoisan, a daily newspaper in Carbondale, Ill., from 1987-1997. That's also where I went to college.-
