The event had already met their goal of $95000 for the American Cancer Society at the start of the opening ceremony Survivors' Lap. The theme of the 18-hour event was "Fairy Tales, Where Dreams Do Come True."
An estimated three thousand participated during the 2012 Relay for Life of Golden Gate held at the Golden Gate Community Center on Friday, April 27.
