More than 100 sailors took to the waters off Fort Lauderdale in the annual "Boomerang" Regatta hosted by Lauderdale Yacht Club on Jan. 21 and 22.

Gulfview Middle School’s Tyler Byrd, who was named the MVP of the Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl at Alamodome in San Antonio on Jan. 8, will be featured today on Sports Stars of Tomorrow, airing on Fox at 9 a.m.

Gulfview Middle School’s Tyler Byrd dominated the eighth-grade unlimited weight Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl at the Alamodome in San Antonio on Sunday, capturing the game’s MVP while leading his East team to a 40-14 victory over the West all-stars.

The Minnesota Twins will be returning to Collier and south Lee with a series of fun youth baseball clinics.

Through 23 games, the Florida Junior Blades have not lost a game in regulation.

The Minnesota Twins Southwest Florida Caravan will be next week in Lee County, and a series of free youth clinics will start Jan 14.

Naples resident Jake Schechter, a former Jr. Everblade who is now a senior defenseman at Lawrence Academy in Groton, Mass., was named the Most Valuable Player at the 38th annual Groton School/Lawrence Academy Holiday Hockey Tournament.
