Three people will remain at the Naples Jail Center without bond after being accused in a Tuesday afternoon home invasion robbery in Golden Gate.

Brian Lee Santos, 22; Richard Julian Slaby, also 22; and Slaby’s mother, Pamela Leigh Slaby, 51, each face a felony charge of home invasion robbery with a firearm. The elder Slaby also faces a felony charge of tampering with evidence.

The victims told Collier deputies they were in a bedroom at 5354 19th Ave. S.W. when two masked men with a rifle barged in sometime after 3 p.m. The robbers demanded money, then grabbed a purse from the floor and ran out of the room, according to an arrest report.

The victim told detectives the bag was worth about $300 and contained her smartphone and $270 in cash.

The men were seen leaving the house in a white Pontiac Bonneville. Deputies later spotted the men ditching the car at a nearby Walgreens and running into the woods.

Reports said one of the victims was renting the room from the main renter on the lease, who was friends with Pamela Slaby. She had been at the home shortly before the robbery. Slaby’s friend said she heard Slaby talking to her son on the phone saying, “There is money here, now is a good time to come,” according to a deputy’s report.

All three suspects were arrested following interviews at the Golden Gate substation and taken to the Naples Jail Center.

very interesting. clearly a pattern and lifestyle...very sad waste of lives.

it is such a shame that NDN "reporters" weren't the ones to include this in their article.

Dam shame the homeowner didn't have a gun . Even if they only wasted 1 it would be one less lovely human being we have to pay for.
