TALLAHASSEE — Florida university students say it's time stop annual tuition increases.
Scores of students representing the state's 11 public universities rallied in front of the old Capitol building in Tallahassee on Thursday.
They also spoke out against legislation that would give the governor the power to appoint the student representative on the board that oversees the universities. That Board of Governors seat currently goes to the chairman of the Florida Student Government Association. It's now held by New College sophomore Mike Long, who led the rally.
Long said tuition has gone up 60 percent over the past four years while state support for the universities has dropped. He urged lawmakers to maintain state funding and tuition at current levels. Gov. Rick Scott has made the same recommendations.

What ever happened to Obama's 2008 campaign rhetoric that anyone who wanted a college education would be able to get one for free?
Why don't the gullable college age students, their parents, and the liberal college educators who voted for Obama confront him about breaking his promise?
Obama should be held accountable for what he says. His strength is his oratory skills (words). Obama is looking more and more like a person of all show and no substance.

I highly doubt that anyone would willingly want to pay more for schooling. I see it going up year after year. Better start paying towards FL Pre-Paid program so my kids don't have to sell a organ to go to school.
