Editorial: All the king's horses ... did put it back together again

Congratulations to Estero civic leaders.

They decided to hold Florida lawmakers accountable for the legislative redistricting process that the elected officials promised would keep communities together. Actually, compact districting is the law, according to Florida voters who embraced common sense for two related constitutional amendments in 2010.

When Estero leaders saw their community split in two for Florida House purposes, they issued a call to action and reminded legislators of that and their promise.

The result, at least so far, is what every Florida community deserves — a compact, unified political subdivision.

District 76 is put back together.

Way to go.

It should not have been so hard, but still, way to go.

Oh I forget, collier is a white republican county, hispanics need no political power
