1 killed in crash involving golf cart and truck

Lee County deputies are on the scene of a vehicle crash involving a golf cart at the intersection of Summerlin Road and Kelly Greens Boulevard.

Officials we spoke to say the golf cart was coming out of Siesta Bay community and was hit by a pick-up truck.

The driver of the golf cart was killed at the scene.

Golf carts and underpowered scooters that can't accelerate fast enough or can't go the speed limit should be banned from all public roads.

And install a traffic light there so this won't happen again.
