My concerns with the labor market

Alan Phillips

My concerns are many regarding the present day labor market.

These are arguably the most difficult times any of us have had to endure, with indications that the light at the end of the tunnel isn't anywhere near.

Obviously, there's not a lot of hiring going on, as people continue to get laid off with alarming regularity.

Furthermore, in many cases employees are having their precious hours reduced, as I've witnessed from speaking with managers at nearby businesses.

Add to that the inherent difficulties of being on the north side of 50 and seeking employment in this day and age.

For these reasons, I really feel as if my optimism has begun to take a hammering.

Rant over.

You are not the only one to be concern Alan.
We are too.
My buddy who is not a youngster did get laid off this year, because lack of clients and bad economy.
Like you we don't see the end of the tunnel, and we think it is not going to get better for a longtime even we are trying to stay positive.
This is the worst we had for many, many years.
Does someone care about seniors or others who can't make a living anymore.
OH Hell not. Nobody care. Each its own. :-(
